optimizely-cms-coding

Build Optimizely CMS solutions, to best practice.

A development-first knowledge module for writing Optimizely CMS code in C#/.NET, Razor, CSS, and JavaScript across CMS 11, 12, and 13 (PaaS). Where the CMS Expert module explains how the platform works and the upgrade modules explain how to migrate, this one writes the working code — page types, block types, Visual Builder, middleware, and turning a static HTML page into CMS-editable Razor.

PaaS only · SaaS/headless is a separate module

What it is

The optimizely-cms-coding module is the prescriptive counterpart to optimizely-cms-expert. It answers "how do I write this code, correctly?" Visual Builder is treated as first-class for CMS 13 work; classic page and block types remain fully supported. It is PaaS only; the TypeScript/Next.js SaaS counterpart is a separate module.

Product-line rule. Every request runs a product-line gate first. The module never emits .NET/Razor for a SaaS target, and never labels SaaS with a version. It also follows a detect-then-match rule: read the target solution's existing conventions before generating code.

How it runs

product-line + version gate
→
detect existing conventions
→
specialist writes code
→
QA + secure-coding gate
